Airbnb Turnover Checklist: The Complete Room-by-Room Guide

This guide covers every step our teams follow on every Airbnb turnover across the UK, broken down by room so you can use it to train your own team, brief a new cleaner or verify the work of a professional service.
Kitchen
Wipe all worktops and splashbacks. Clean hob, including under burner caps on gas hobs. Clean oven interior if included in the turnover scope (check your service agreement). Wipe microwave interior and exterior. Clean sink and taps, removing limescale. Empty and wipe inside fridge — check door seal for crumbs. Run a short empty cycle on the dishwasher if it smells. Restock dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and bin liners if required. Wipe all cupboard fronts and handles. Sweep and mop floor, including under the table and behind the bin.
Living Room
Vacuum all floors and under sofa cushions. Dust all surfaces including TV, shelves and windowsills. Wipe remote controls, light switches and door handles. Plump cushions and fold throws. Wipe all surfaces, shelves and soap dispensers. Mop floor including behind the toilet and around the pedestal. Restock toilet rolls, hand soap and any toiletries the host provides. Hallway and Entrance
Vacuum or mop entrance floor. Wipe shoe rack or mat. Clean front door interior and handle. Wipe light switches. Check coat hooks for forgotten items. If the property has a shared stair or communal entrance, photograph the condition on arrival in case of complaints from neighbours.
Final Checks
Set thermostat to host-specified temperature. Close all windows and lock them. Turn off unnecessary lights. Check all taps are off. Photograph each room for the completion report. Lock the property and secure the key in the lockbox, scrambling the code after use. Send the completion report to the host within 30 minutes.
